Career
After passing from IBS, I spend my first 2 years searching for a career. During these years, I was blessed to have guidance from people like Dr P N Bhagwati. Finally, I selected consulting as a career. And I settled with Mott MacDonald, a UK based management, technical and development consulting firm with turnover of over US$ 1.5 billion in 2007. Here, I am working as a Divisional Director, responsible for operation of Management Consulting Division in Eastern India, Hyderabad, Maharashtra and Exports.

We are in the business of providing complete solution i.e. from concept to commissioning. We provide specialist advice in Industry, Infrastructure and Social sectors to Investors as well as Governments. Hence, we create difference in day to day life of people.
I started my career as a player, graduated to become a captain, then a coach and now I am in the selection committee and board. However, I still continue to work as a player and captain.
IBS more than just learning
Before joining IBS, I was working with Marico Industries as an Engineer. Being an Engineer, I had a very good understanding of equipments and dealing with them. However, I was at loss with commercial or HR related initiatives were limited. With the kind of importance given to commercial and HR initiatives by any organization. The expectations and hardships were almost equal for all functions, with a steep increase once you go up the ladder. Thus, I decided to get an MBA.
I definitely made the right choice as ,IBS helped me to develop an understanding of various other aspects of business, which as an engineer I was not exposed to. This helped me a lot in shaping my career.

Handling Pressure
Everyone has his own way to handle pressure. For me internal belief and support from family & friends has been the mantra. I consider myself to be fortunate to have a supportive family and a very close friend circle.
Balancing Work and Family
Mott MacDonald is an employee owned company with policies and practices that make it one of the best workplaces in the world. One of my Performance Review Targets is to spend more time with family, which reflects the company’s commitment towards an individual’s family.
Mrinmoyee too has been very supportive and has helped me in effectively managing my time between work and family.
Friends @IBS At IBS I met a lot of people with aspirations and expectations. After IBS all of them went out to fulfil their aspirations. I too was one of them. Building a career was hard work and investment of time for me. And so I found lesser and lesser time for friends…. I still have memories of them and I am still in touch with some. I think the story is same everywhere.
Mantra for De-stressing Sharing and discussing problems with people who care.
Lessons life has taught
Life is precious and do not waste it. There are millions who need your support; you just have to reach out. Stand up for truth, work hard and believe in your capabilities. You can achieve the impossible…
Words for the Young Starters
Invest to build your capability and you will see the world chasing you…….
