Debopriyo Das, IBS Bangalore (’98) works with Oracle as a Portfolio Director for Commercial Practice in the US West Coast and thinks that the biggest challenge o survive in this field is to keep up with the current technology trends and of course, to balance his work and family life.

Career

After IBS, I was fortunate to get the right kind of guidance & would like to think that I have made the right career choices so far. I started as a Systems Analyst with Blue Chip Computer Consultants, then got into the CRM bandwagon & joined Ramco Systems in the US. After a brief stint there, moved on to Wipro Technologies & handled various roles before finally taking over the Enterprise Application business in the US West Coast. In may 2008, I joined Oracle as a Portfolio Director.

IBS taught me the two most important aspects of a successful career & these are Team Work and Time Management. This has helped me go a long way in my professional as well as personal life.
