Right choices in life
I was never a frequent job switcher and always have believed in organic growth. It is important to first understand your role, challenges and than create success stories. I have seen most of the people moving out to other organizations before understanding the role itself. I believe growth comes with stability and has long term returns on your career.
Challenges
Success comes with new challenges and these challenges pave way for the next level of growth. Currently facing challenges on time management. With growth it is important to be organized and more defined. My weekly plan, organizational objectives, team management, turnarounds and family; everything needs planning and meeting expectations at each level is a challenge.
Family & work-balance
Still learning the art maintaining this balance and I am sure will continue doing this throughout my life. Most of the time you fail on your family commitments due to other professional priorities and I am sure that most of us find it difficult to justify this balance. I stay with my wife Sumedha in Jaipur and my parents stay in Ajmer. I ensure that once in a month I go to Ajmer to meet my parents and at least once in a quarter go out for a one / two days break with Sumedha.
Take on life
I am an optimist and see positives in everything. I always take criticism as feedback and try improving on it. I believe in today and short term goals in life. I strongly feel that I can plan better for achieving short term goals with long term effects.
Cherish-able moments with IBS
From early morning classes to late night assignments, a close friend circle, preparations for interview, getting SIP and final placement; I value every moment spent at IBS. Even today when I meet students at IBS I always try finding my self between them.
Fundas I learnt at IBS
Most important funda which I learned at IBS was Stress management. One is always kept busy with different assignments, tasks, other responsibilities with high level of expectations. This makes you accustomed to the expectation of your corporate life as by the time you are out of school you are master at handling pressure across functions. Another important learning at IBS was case studies. I have always enjoyed identifying core issues, learning and healthy discussion between teams for solutions.
