My wife, parents and brothers
My father used to work in the Government Services. He is retired now. My mother is a professor at NIET, Jaipur. My younger brother works in a retail Multi National company, and the other brother is pursuing MS in the US. I got married on March 2003 to Mansee, my wife who is a HR professional. She works with Infosys, BPO. Mannan, our 3 year old son, is our joy of life.
My Career after IBS…
I joined General Motors India (GMI) in their finance group, through placements from campus. My 3 + years of experience at GM, gave me good grounding in various finance functions and exposure in IT sector. I then joined Satyam, in their Business Intelligence group and worked for over 2 years looking after business analysis and pre-sales for the Business Intelligence program. It was a different experience altogether. Quite apart from the finance background I had. I then moved on to Wipro, in 2002 and worked in different roles, in Project Management and Practice Management. The career movements in these multinational groups, has given me immense learning experience and I enjoyed the ride all through.
On Handling High Pressure Situations
In any high pressure situation, there are things which are within ones control and beyond ones control. I always try to focus (not so easy though) on the ones which are within my control and make the best out of what I have and what I can do with it. This gives me the satisfaction that I have done the best in the given circumstances.
My Idea of enjoying both life and work…
Work in an integral part of life, but it doesn’t govern my life. My little Mannan, my adorable 3 year old son, makes me experience joys out of simple things in life. I try and spend quality time with him on the weekends and on all evenings.
During Leisure Time
To escape from the mad rush of life and enjoy with my family, we go for excursions during long weekends. It is indeed refreshing and fun way to bond with the family. Otherwise, I watch movies on television, and browse on net. I am particularly fond of watching the programme NDTV –Profit.
IBSAF & I
I am in constant touch with few of my IBS friends. Though meeting doesn’t quite happen, frequently.
I am THANKFUL TO IBSAF for organizing and calling for different events and meets, as it not only facilitates meet- ups, but also helps to reconnect with other batchmates, juniors and seniors. IBSAF IS AN EXCELLENT PLATFORM! |
