RADIO MIRCHI BRINGS A GALORE OF FUN, CHALLENGES & GAMES at IBS Hyderabad,
AS IT CHOOSES IBS Hyderabad  to be the “ COLLEGE OF THE DAY!”

The event was organized with the help of Mr. Suvir Jaggi, an alumnus of IBS Chennai, ‘02 who works as Group Manager- Sales at Radio Mirchi, Hyderabad
The programme anchored by Mr. Sunny and Ms. Bhargavi of 98.3FM, had amusing playoffs and daring actions. Monkey   actions, sits-ups, push-ups, dancing are just a few to mention. The games left audience pleased and amused. The winners received prizes from the sponsors -Idea, Hero Honda and Lakme. The icing of the cake was the alumni, who joined with their juniors in making the moment more memorable.

A two day Workshop on Commodity Trading was conducted by Mr. Manish Bansal. He works as Sr. Vice President for Corporate Sales and Structuring-India and Fixed Income Currencies & Commodities-Asia Pacific with Citibank. More than 300 students and 30 faculty members keenly participated and gained immensely from the workshop that spanned for two days- 30 August & 31 August ‘08. Amongst the keen learning and questioning audience were Mr.Somnath Moitra & Mr.Sukamal Laha , the  alumnae of IBS 2008, Kolkata.

INNOVATION EXCELLENCE SEMINAR by IBS Pune & Rotterdam School of Management

In recent times, ‘innovation’ has gained in importance for most companies. However, when it comes to practicing innovation, companies are at a loss as to how they should go about their task. In this regard, IBS Pune and the Rotterdam School of Management (Holland) organized an international seminar on ‘Innovation Excellence’ at MCCIA’s Sumant Moolgaonkar Auditorium on the 12th of August, 2008. The speakers included distinguished faculty members – Prof. Dr. Felix Jansen and Prof. Dr. Murthy Halemane from the Rotterdam School of Management.

The programme received extremely encouraging response from Pune’s corporate world where about a hundred corporate leaders attended the programme. They comprised of delegates from companies like Tata Motors, Tata Autocomp Systems, ACC, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Sandvik Asia, Calyon Bank, Praj Industries, Ador Welding, Enercon India etc. The programme was hosted by IBS Pune and Prof. Dhananjay Keskar (Director, IBS Pune) inaugurated the programme while Dr. Kaushik Mukerjee (Associate Dean, IBS Pune) delivered the vote of thanks.

The programme explained critical aspects of innovation excellence including – how to ideate, how to develop the concept and plan the innovation, and how to create the innovation strategy successfully. The model developed by INPAQT and successfully implemented in leading companies like Unilever, Thyssen Krupp, ABN AMRO Bank etc. was explained to the participants.
