| A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IBS Bhubaneswar & HDFC Bank on 18th july 2008. Prof Prafulla Kumar Dash, Dean, IBS Bhubaneswar and Mr. Jerry Tauro, Senior Manager – Campus Relations representing HDFC Bank signed on the MOU. The MOU will get the students a certificate in Retail Banking endorsed by IBS and HDFC Bank on successful completion of the MBA program. |

| The "FOOTLOOSE", Welcome function for the batch of 2010 was held at Hotel New Marrion on 21st June, 2008. Function began with the traditional lighting of lamp by the Dean, Prof. Prafulla Kumar Dash. The event was full of entertainment and fun followed by a sumptuous dinner. |

| E.H.McGrath.S.J. (Human Life Centre, Bhubaneswar), former Director and Professor at XLRI, Jamshedpur, a trainer and consultant in the field of human development and industrial relations, a chosen sole arbitrator in industrial disputes and the author of Basic Managerial Skills, Compensation for Work Injuries, Training for Life and Leadership in Industry, Guide to the Industrial Disputes Act 1947 and many more visited the IBS, Bhubaneswar campus for an interactive session of team building exercises with students of Class 2009 on 25th June 2008. |
IBS – Alpha Chapter – Jaipur |
| Alpha Foundation IBS Jaipur Chapter, visited the village Bar Devri, ManSarovar, Jaipur on 31st July’08 to curtail the dropouts of the school going children of the poor families. The team under the guidance of Prof. K.K.Morya interacted with the parents and children on the importance of going to school. After the interaction, to motivate the school going children, the Chapter distributed Drawing boxes and Biscuit Packets were distributed among children to motivate them to go to school. |

| Volunteers from IBS,Jaipur visited the Government Primary School, Parvati Nagar , which has a strength of about 150 students and three teachers. Most of students are from extremely poor families; some of them are orphans and unable to bear the minimum cost of the school fee. The volunteer team interacted with the teachers and students and mapped their requirements. It was proposed to come up with tin sheds for better classrooms and execute other academic activities. Necessary stationery was distributed among the students. It is planned to take up the activity on monthly basis. |
| IBS, Hyderabad Sports Meet |
Sports meet was organized by IBSAF Hyderabad chapter on 20th July’08 at the IBS Hyderabad campus. The main purpose of the event was to develop camaraderie among alumni and the students .Students of the Class of 2009 & 2010 participated actively in the event.
Various outdoor games like football, volley ball and tug of war were organized. The fight was between the alumni and students. Both the games of football and volley ball were won by the students. Dr. S.Venkata Seshaiah, Associate Dean, IBS Hyderabad awarded the IBSAF cup to winning team and token of appreciation to the alumni who participated in the event. |
