Visit of 32 Foreign students to IBS Campus under “Student Exchange Programme”

Thirty-Two students from 20 countries visited IBS’Jaipur  under the student exchange programme of the Ministry of External Affairs.
While interacting with the students, IBS’s Dean Dr.J.N  Dhankhar, Dean IBS Jaipur stressed on the need of sharpening one’s skills in English language in a fast changing globalized environment. Two interactive sessions were held with the students during their stay in the campus.
The students also visited the ‘English Language Lab’ functioning in the campus, which is first of its type in Rajasthan and observed its audio visual functions and appreciated this unique system.

Comprehensive workshop at IBS-Jaipur on ‘Effect of Globalization on Human Resources’  Date: October 03,2008

IBS – Jaipur organized a workshop on the ‘Effect of Globalization on Human Resources’  on October 3, 2008 .

Mr. Lalit Panwar, Principal Secretary, Labour and Employment, GOR, in his inaugural address, assessed globalization as an opportunity rather then the challenge. He expressed that there is a paradigm shift in India, leading to continuous learning, and change in thinking. Discussing the gap between industry and academia, he showed his concern about developing effective managers. He also highlighted the various efforts made by government of Rajasthan for employment generation and human resource development including National skill development mission.

The Cricket match was played between the Faculty and the Students on 5th September, 08.
The match was won by the Faculty Team and the Man of the Match Trophy was given by Prof. Bhagat Ram (Dean) to Prof .Ashok Kumar. A match worthy of great memories!

21 &22 August, 2008

COLISEUM a  branded  and signature  management event of IBS Chennai  was conducted in true spirits and fervor on 21 &22 August 2008 at Harini Tower. This year saw one of the largest gatherings of professionals, academia, knowledge leaders and managers in the history of this institute with participations from 21 B schools across the country and more than 160 budding managers trying to battle their way out to emerge as the mightiest gladiator.

The Guest of Honour of the Inaugural session, Prof. C.R. Muthukrishnan, asserted that it was definitely people, process and technology in the right combination that was necessary to achieve new heights of success in the dynamic and competitive environment of today. According to him, innovation, especially co-innovation, would be the key driver to success for future businesses.

Prof.P. Ramnath, Director IBS Chennai welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of the conduct of and participation in such activities. The inaugural was followed by a panel discussion on the topic ‘Is the current business environment conducive for growth?’

“Awaken the gladiator within” was the motto of Coliseum 2008- well in the end it can be said that each and every participant and the organizers of the event did justice to the motto and there were valuable take- aways from this event in more than one way

WORK SHOP ON ‘MEASUREMENT IN MANAGEMENT SERIES II’ AT IBS HYDERABAD

A three day workshop titled “Measurement in Management Series II” was conducted from 12th Sep to 14th Sep 2008, at IBS Hyderabad Campus.    It covered major functional areas like Sales, Accounting, Finance, and Marketing Management. The underlying principle of the workshop was to enhance the skills of working executives, academicians and prospective researchers in the field of research and consulting through highly participative workshop.
