Mr. Nikhil Irukulla
IBS Hyderabad ('98)

Managing Director,
PathFinder

Me and My Family

This is Nikhil.  I am from the `96-`98 batch of IBS, Hyderabad.  Majored in marketing and finance was a mandate! Have worked for about 9 months (business development) before I started an IT Recruitment firm in sept `99.  We work/have worked with almost all the top IT MNCs in India. I live with my parents. Single and waiting, for someone special to enter my life.

Career after IBS

As mentioned, I worked for 9 months before I started PathFinder. I had a fantastic start, did experience the market crash and, the 9/11 aftermath.
All this has helped me come out even stronger.

IBS helped me get more focused, know and do what is best for me, honed my business acumen.

Future holds for me

At least a couple more branches and a new venture very soon

Path finder: different from others

We have worked a lot with Product based companies. We very well understand what they are looking for; do a better job of sending only relevant profiles. This is something that every client would appreciate, the recruitment firm acting as a real good filter.

De-stressing Mantra

I am into various activities. A regular at the gym, been practicing sitar for about 20 years now, been a national chess player(participate once in a while even now), was into racing, back into the local drag circuits, go karting, play video games, make electronic music… almost an endless list of activities that ensure I don’t experience stress.

The Balancing Act

Being well organized serves the purpose most of the times. Getting your priorities right is very important.

Some tips from the Expert

One has to be very well prepared on what has been mentioned on their profile.

  • Mind their body language.
  • Hone their presentation and communication skills.
  • Helps to have an aptitude to devour knowledge.

Welcome Changes in the Indian Corporate Scenario

Ironical that, most corporate are functioning like government organizations.
Privatization and competition still doesn’t seem to have the impact it should have, corruption has crept into even the best of MNCs. We have the potential to grow even more rapidly.

Indian corporate lack innovation, they are now utilizing their potential to the brim.

Advice to juniors

Give more importance to the quality of work than money, long term over short term.
      Do not change jobs frequently.
      Set your priorities right.
