You and your family
I come from a 'Steel Township' family, having spent most of my years there, thanks to an engineer dad, and a teacher mom.
My wife was my batchmate at the other leading business school from where I completed another MBA in a different discipline (let me confirm, I am no less attached to IBS, and that IBS is also "family":)+); she is a branding professional, and has now taken a career break, thanks to our 2 year bundle of a son
Journey after IBS
Hopefully progressive :), it has largely been consulting centric (having worked with the Arthur D.Little network, Connectivity, QAI, and KPMG), and now a part of the software services space (Satyam); "exciting for sure"
The success Mantra
It's very easy- thought in the head, passion in the heart, and slog in your hands.
Believe it is true for everyone and anyone, in any sphere of life; as long the answer to the all important question, "Am I excited to get out of bed and come to work every day morning?" is "Yes", one is enjoying all kind of pressures…
But with Work comes family and one has to maintain a balance there also, What I am currently trying is this (though a bit radical) - Message to home on weekdays: Please don’t ask me what time I will be back home; Message to work colleagues on weekend: Please don’t ask me where I am on a weekend :) and when the stress is a bit too much to handle I take help from Deep breaths every now and then and a handy glass of water.
