K Sudha,
IBS Mumbai, (‘98)

Associate Director - Alliances with rediff.com.

Me and my family

My family is my strength and will always be so. They have supported me with all my decisions and it’s a great pleasure to have them for me – always. I come from a middle class family where family values and education play a very important role.

Personal and career graph….

My personal life has been quite a roll-a-coaster, but I’ve enjoyed every single moment of it. Given a chance, I’d live the same way again. However, my career graph has been more or less steady. I don’t believe in changing jobs regularly…but in quality of work that I do at my place of employment.

Looking back at the sojourn in IBS

I owe my professional built to IBS…the professors and the Dean were people whom I still look upon.

Ideas of a perfect life

None…I don’t think life can be perfect, it’s up to us to make our dream come true during our own life time.

Life after IBS ….

Was full of exploration…at all levels, I began working formally post IBS. Corporate world was new, worked with big names like Mr. Ratan Tata and Dr. J J Irani @ Tata Steel and then went on to become an entrepreneur during the dot com boom…post which we were brought over by Mr. Ajit Balakrishnan (CEO & President of Rediff.com India Ltd). Now I’ve been with Rediff for over 7 yrs.

Ideal in life

Ms. Naina Lal Kidwai – she’s truly an achiever

On facing high pressure situations at work

I think brings out the best in the person…we are expected to perform, keep out cool and also exceed expectations.

Balancing work and family

This has come to me in a platter…with great family upbringing and a strong support from them, I’ve been truly lucky!

Biggest lesson in life

You need to street smart, skills can be learnt anytime…but confidence and attitude will take us a long way.

De-stressing Mantra

My 2 yr old son…I can forget the world when I’m with him…

Hobbies

I love to cook…it’s a pleasure to cook and serve for my family

Lessons life has taught

Life lessons I’ve learnt…time takes care of every action we do…we do good, good comes back to us.

How connected are you with your friends / batch mates at IBS

Via email and other social networking sites

Future

To work in a even more competing environment so that my potential can be explored more by myself!

One important thought I would like to leave you with: confidence and attitude with a clear path of our goals in our mind, will help us scale new heights in our career and personal life.
