Konflux was a three day management event organized by the student council along with student activity coordinator at IBS Mumbai. The event saw a tremendous participation of 220 students representing 24 colleges and other B-schools, not only from Mumbai but across the country. It enjoyed incredible industry support and media coverage.

 Inauragating the Fest

Not only the appreciation and interest from other academic institutions across the country and the media, the event also caught attention of the corporate world. There were several renowned personalities from the corporate sector, like Kotak Mahindra Bank, Larsen & Toubro Ltd., IndusInd Bank, NCDEX, ARCIL, HCC, Mistic Solutions, Prometheus Solutions Pvt Ltd, Bisleri, Asian Age, Indian Express and more, who had graced the event with their presence as special invitees, guests and judges for management games.

This four day fest started with the flagship event “Global Forum”. The theme of the forum was “BRIC-Emerging Market Economies” with the objective to lay down the architecture for building the synergy among the BRIC nations. This two-round event was held at Reliance Energy Management Institute on 29th November, 2007 with an overwhelming response from the B-schools. The winner was NMIMS (China) and the runner up was S. P. Jain (Brazil).

This program was followed by ‘Appu Ghar’ and ‘Bhangra’ performance. Apart from the flagship event, Global Forum, various management games were held at the campus from 30th November – 1st December. These events were conducted at the IBS, Mumbai campus.

While the days were filled with competitive games, the evenings were held captive by the Tequila Shotz— rock show, fashion show sponsored by Charag Din, and splendid dance items by B schools. And also there was Konflux Raaga, the Konflux version of Indian Idol where Surajit Kalita of IBS, Mumbai, won the hearts of the audience with his voice.
