“It is heartening to note the strides made by IBS over the past decade. Being ranked 9th among all the B-schools is a wonderful and stupendous achievement in such a short span.”

We had the privilege of talking to him during the IBS Admissions 2008, which he made sure to attend despite a busy schedule. He was absolutely thrilled about his experience. He says that he is really happy to have IBS as his chosen alma mater. The role of IBS in his life cannot be surmised in a few words. The rigorous curriculum along with the Finance orientation has helped him to pick up the banking basics quite quickly. Vamsi is so attached to IBS that when he was asked to compare between the IBS now with the IBS during his students days, he said that IBS as an institute is beyond comparison. However, it is better now. All he has to say is, “The Hyderabad Campus has been developed well and it is important that MBA students have a campus where they can interact after their classes. I would like to come back and see when it is fully operational and I sincerely expect that I would be greeted with world class standards.”

When Page 3 pointed out that India is slowly being recognized as the engines of world economic growth and asked him about his opinion/s on the contributions of the banking sector towards change, Mr. Vamsi replied that banking has always played a very important part in India’s growth, the usage of credit and financial instruments has led to sophisticated markets and its clients. He says that it is very important to have a track on one’s expenses. Constant evaluation and re-allocation of budget to meet the various needs are also vital. One must put aside at least 25% of the salary as savings and try to manage it prudently.
