Welcome to IBS

Prof. Prafulla Kumar Dash is the newly appointed Dean of IBS, Bhubaneshwar since April 2008. His aim is to promote excellence in education at all levels and function as an integral part of the university, insisting upon the highest of standards and systematic pursuit of educational improvement.

Prof. Prafulla K. Dash did his Post-Graduation in Political Science from Allahabad University. Later, he completed his M.B.A. from European University in Brussels.

He joined SBI as a Probationary Officer in 1971 and after holding various assignments at various places in India, and in Belgium, retired in 2006 as the General Manager of the Bank’s Bhopal Circle comprising M.P. and Chhattisgarh. After his retirement from SBI for three and half decades at the age of sixty; Prof. Prafulla K. Dash joined IBS. According to him, “The migration from SBI into IBS perhaps was pre-ordained, and the process was changeless; it involved only a little repositioning of the same alphabets.”

His wife used to teach briefly at Utkal University. Their daughter, Yashodhara, a doctor by training, has a Ph.D. in Immunology and M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. She is now a Licensing Associate in the Industrial Products Group in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York.
